When I received my pictures back, the heads of the people were not in the prints. What happened?

When composing your pictures, make sure to leave some space between the subject and the edge of the frame guide in the viewfinder. During the printing process, photographic printing equipment crops out a small portion of each side of the negative to ensure that the edge of the negative is not in the final print. See your camera owner's manual for more information and helpful composition hints when framing your subjects in the camera's viewfinder.
